The mechanical behavior in liquid lead of the 15-15Ti steel coated by an alumina layer and Alumina Forming Austenitic (AFA) steel, with a chemical composition allowing for formation at surface has been studied. To investigate metal embrittlement (LME) sensitivity lead, tensile tests air have carried out 400 °C 500 °C. Then analyses cracking fracture surfaces performed. No LME tested conditions was observed Al2O3 steel.
